Psychotherapy offers a space to pause, reflect, and make sense of your experiences — especially during times of stress, loss, or transition. Grounded in evidence-based approaches and a deep respect for your lived experience, psychological therapy can help with a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, chronic pain and the complexities of caregiving or aging. Whether you’re seeking healing, clarity, or growth, we work collaboratively to support meaningful change and restore a sense of balance. You don’t have to do it alone.

When we are deep in the midst of pain, it is natural to feel stuck or overwhelmed. We often lose sight of our own strengths and forget what hope feels like. But what if we could learn to navigate these complicated feelings with clarity?

I work alongside my clients to explore these challenges, helping you regain your resilience and reconnect with the inner light that has been masked by suffering.

My Philosophy: Be Like Water I bring a blend of Eastern and Western culture to my practice, grounded in the philosophy of “Be Like Water.” Water is adaptable to its environment. When it flows and encounters a rock, it moves around it. If the obstacle is huge, water knows how to stay and gather strength until it can overflow and move forward. With this mindset, I help clients see who they are, accept where they are, and discover where they need to go.

My Journey to You My path to psychology was not a straight line. My first degree was in Biomedical Engineering, and I spent 12 years in the biotech and pharmaceutical industries. I was fortunate to have a stable career, yet I felt a persistent inner voice telling me there was something else I needed to do. Searching for what was missing, I stepped away from my corporate career to backpack through Australia. That journey gave me the clarity to realize my true calling was to help people on a deeper level. I listened to that inner voice, went back to school, and dedicated myself to this new path. Today, with another 12 years of experience behind me, I am grateful to be here serving my clients as a psychologist.

How We Work Together Every person is different, so I don’t use a “one size fits all” method. I tailor our sessions using:

Person-Centered Therapy to give you a space where you are truly heard, never judged. Psychodynamic Therapy to understand how your past is coloring your present. Mindfulness to help you find calm in the stress. EMDR/ART to help process heavy memories so they stop hurting.

My journey began as a result of my own health struggles and grew into a love for a more natural type of medicine. My idea of a perfect world would be one where eastern and western medicine work together having a harmonious relationship, each using their own strengths. The goal is to help you heal and maintain great health both in and out of the treatment room.

I have an affinity towards skin, mental health, and women’s health issues; but my knowledge is not limited to these areas. I’m a doctor of traditional Chinese medicine, doctor of acupuncture, and I have Mei Zen certification. I’m so excited to show you why I fell in love with this medicine!

“I have found that most people are much more courageous and resilient than they give themselves credit for. As such, in both my assessment and therapy work, I focus on an individual’s strengths to help them develop skills and find resources for tackling whatever they are struggling with.”

“Do you need help managing your worry about the current state of the world? Are you dealing with grief, loss, or unresolved trauma? Do you have symptoms such as depressed mood, lethargy, tension, poor sleep, chronic pain, panic attacks or unhealthy behaviours such as avoidance, rage or substance misuse?”

“I can help. My approach is holistic and client-centered, and draws from a number of therapeutic models, including cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT), and mindfulness. I also have specialized training in the treatment of trauma and post-traumatic stress, including Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT).”

Christine has two decades of experience providing psychological and neuropsychological assessment, diagnosis and treatment to adult and geriatric clients with a wide variety of mental health issues (e.g. PTSD, depression, anxiety), co-morbid medical conditions and functional difficulties including cognitive impairment and dementia, traumatic brain injury, developmental disabilities, chronic illness and pain.
